Pausing and unpausing playback seems to stop the problem once it has
started. Playback continues as normal for a 45 minute TV episode.

I am getting a similar issue with VOB files using the internal player. I
have just upgraded to the lastest version from the repos.

I personally don't think that this is a bug. Looking at the code, the
"dist-uGPrade" option seems to have been deliberately added, possibly to
catch a common typo.

As my laptop is already running at 1024x768, I tried it with 800x600 and
640x480, neither of which had any effect - the resolution stayed the
