I confirm, it also works for me. Specifically:
- Synced folders
- Sudo not complaining about hostname
- Running multiple VMs simultaneously
- Updating/upgrading/installing packages
Looks great.

Dan, is it possible that there's a resolver on your machine/network that
is resolving that hostname for you?

Title:
Xenial vagrant image is miss
To confirm Toni's comment, my testing yields the same result:
$ vboxmanage --version
5.0.20r106931
$ vagrant --version
Vagrant 1.8.1
$ vagrant box list | grep xenial
ubuntu/xenial64 (virtualbox, 20160531.0.0)
$ vagrant init ubuntu/xenial64
$ vagrant up
$ vagrant ssh -- sudo grep hosts /etc/nss
Dan if it helps reproduce:
I'm running a 64bit trusty host using the "virtualbox-5.0" package from the
"deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian trusty contrib"
repository.

@Nayeem I *believe* the image building process is described here:

I've applied the patch and uploaded the result to ppa:cpick/dunst.
trusty users should be able to install it with:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cpick/dunst
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get upgrade
dunst must then be restarted to pick up the new version (eg with
`killall dunst` or similar).
Until support comes from upstream, Ubuntu 12.04 precise users can use this ppa:
ppa:qji/ax88179
https://launchpad.net/~qji/+archive/ax88179
It uses dkms to build asix's driver.
