I'm just installing an eCafe for a friend. Sorry I can't and don't know how to do deeper tests, but this bug also affects kernel 3.0.14 in oneiric.
The funny thing is that suspend and resume works nearly fine for EXACTLY one time after a double reboot following a change in bios' ACPI-settings. No matter if I change from ACPI version 1.0 to 3.0 or switch APIC support or a thing called "headless mode", one time, everything nearly works, except the touchpad always not reacting after that successful resume. Further attempts to suspend and resume result in display trouble and no reaction whatsoever any more. I'm no expert, but it seems to me as if it learned something wrong from the first attempt. I did sudo sh -c "sync; echo 1 > /sys/power/pm_trace; pm-suspend" and tried to reboot as soon as possible to dmesg into a file as the ubuntu wiki suggested, but the whole file was only full of "uvcvideo: failed to query .. GET_..". I don't remember the exact line. As I said, I can't test no more because I have to give the netbook back.
