By the way, I started to use Gnome-shell and the windows are not lagging at all
there (tough there are other graphical glitches, thanks ATI for the great
driver). :(
It probably confirms the laggy windows is caused by a specific issue between
Compiz/Unity and ATI.

This is not completely true. In Natty, it was possible to activate twinview on
2 external monitors if DFP-0 is disabled.
This was done via nvidia-settings.
However now, the nvidia-settings seems to crash when the same setup is applied.

I've the same problem in a fresh install of oneiric : the sound is play on both
headphones and Loudspeakers.

All inputs plugged at booting are not detected by xorg (need magic keys
alt+impr_ecr+r to release keyboard and go tty)
note: I use nvidia pilots and it makes an autoconfig.
here the logs... I have no usb keyboard at home, this bug turn my laptop
nearly unusable. (still tty

Input detection fails
Effectively I don't have this bug with the mkisofs bundled with
cdrecord 3.01a5 . I don't want to be picky I can't understand why this
fork is left unmaintained whereas a lot of things has been fixed in
mkisofs. However, it won't ruin my day, thanks for your answer.

genisoimage has a strange behavior when I try to exclude hidden files
from the output ISO with the -m switch, it doesn't generate good parent
directory records in subdirectories (see below) : the ISO image is thus
non-compliant with the ISO9660 standard.

after an upgrade on 2011-06-12(compiz) xorg started to freeze after some time
of usage.
The freeze are not always fatal, sometimes going to the console and going back
allows to continue working However this works only once.
