I tried the ndiswrapper, but finally had to disable it. I have a
Thinkpad T61 and it was hard to find a driver that worked. The ones
that worked were really unstable and I was getting a lot of
authentication errors. Sticking with the 2.6.32 kernel for now.

Thanks for the reply, I didn't realize there were newer kernels since I
don't have a Lucid system right now. I just tested 2.5.32-27 and it
works!
The sources.list lines would be:
deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-updates main restricted
deb-src http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/u
I'm experiencing the same issue, I've been testing it by copying files
from a server in my house using FTP. Transfer rates average 200KB/s or
so with the Maverick kernels, however if I use the 2.6.32-21 Lucid
kernel I get speeds of 3MB/s!
