The pencam worked as a web cam in Ubuntu release 8.04 Kernel 2.6.24.19
but does not work with release 8.10. I tried kernel 2.6.24.19 and
kernel 2.6.27.9 with same results. attached is a copy of the system
info; dmesg; Aiptek properties and cpu info.

I was looking at some other bugs and found the answer to my problem.
Everything updated except the grub. I went into terminal and typed "sudo
update-grub. when it asked what I wanted to do with the menu.lst I took
option 1 instead of the merge option which I took when I ran the
original update. Ev
