The Gnome developers will say this is "intended functionality" because
the Gnome keyring is (supposedly) used for other things, and they don't
want it to be subverted by autologin. I would argue that if the Gnome
keyring is so sacred then WPA passwords and WEP keys shouldn't be kept
in the Gnome k

After installing ubuntu-xen-server on a clean Gutsy install (according
to these instructions: http://www.howtoforge.com/ubuntu-7.10-server-
install-xen-from-ubuntu-repositories), and upon reboot, an error message
appeared stating that CP
This has not been resolved, as it still exists in Feisty (I'm soaking in
it) and upstream (according to comments by others). It makes gparted
unusable for anything that requires unmounting drives unless you know to
kill gnome-volume-manager.

It's hardly a minor bug -- it corrupts the iTunes database and "bricks"
the device until you can plug it into a Mac or Windows box. Usually
gtkpod can't recover it.

Gosh, wouldn't it be just thrilling if the update-manager could
continue, resume, or exit gracefully from a failure? Is trashing the
system in the event of an error really the best design?

Confirmed with Ubuntu Dapper Drake with kernel 2.6.15-26-386; same
problem compiling fglrx. Doesn't seem fixed to me.
