reproduced it there just to be sure I had the debian configured

I'm having the same problem too. This is recent, so I suspected an update may
be the culprit. I have tried reverting to a previous version of nvidia driver,
but that made no difference.

The bug seems to be only apparent when a USB connected rotational drive
does not support certain features when interrogated by the kernel at

file on every boot-up:

My workaround involved booting the KVMs on server ISO

The _netdev parameter is being ignored.

You don't need any "-dev" packages, and you can the old packages from
the Ubuntu site:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/oneiric/remmina
Once you uninstall the current Remmina packages and then install the
older ones you will have to log out of your Gnome session and then back
in again to use it.

Affects (at least) 71 people and masses of bug reports which duplicate
this. Nothing changed since June 2012.
I am getting a little tired of this error myself, any danger of a fix in
the next decade?

I have an eSATA drive that used to automount (entries are in fstab file)
in 10.04 when connected to AHCI eSATA port.
In 12.04 Gnome Fallback drive is recognised in dmesg logs when connected
but partitions no longer automount.
USB devices automount, but not eSATA.

Just upgraded from Ubuntu 10.04 to 12.04 and what used to work perfectly
now does not work.
eSata drive connected, see in dmesg that partitions are detected but not
automount when valid UUID entries are in /etc/fstab.
Partitions mount when drive plugged in on system boot. Now have to
manually mou
Yan Liu's workaround fixed it for me - quite annoying after upgrading
from Ubuntu 10.04 to 12.04 and having this problem.

First, thanks for the original review so long ago. I finally had a
chance to look at this again, and I think I have fixed all the issues
you pointed out. I've proposed the new branch for reviewing/merging. The
