to see if we still have the problem. The options I set were:
o zfs set xattr=sa storage

performance of both drives; the first using 512MiB as you suggested and
the second with a larger sample and using the dd commands
status=progress option to monitor for pauses. Also in the second ss, I

installed the deb 3.5.6 package, everthing works great.

Experiencing this problem in Maverick.
Also releases before 2.11.3 are unsatisfactory because the gthumb upload
pictures from camera function does not work with all cameras before the
re-write of gthumb.
Please re-instate the slide show function within gthumb 2.11.3 and
greater. Thanks.
