I think this seems similar to what's happening to me with kernel version
5.4.0-91-generic. here is my dmesg output:

By trying to authenticate with the wrong password 2 times, it was
verified that the account was locked for the amount of time set to the
unlock_time parameter (20s).

Tested my 8GB Micro SDHC recently formatted with exFAT. All files
transfered flawlessly, even with the Partition Type NTFS/exFAT/HPFS and
exFAT content description in gnome-disks, and, most important (at least
i think so), no "cannot verify signal voltage switch" in dmesg. By dmesg
i got:

it uses exFAT and in gnome-disks the Partition Type is NTFS/exFAT/HPFS
and the contents are exFAT. i found weird that partition type shows
NTFS/exFAT/HPFS and the contents exFAT. But who knows? (i am not very
proficient in computing).
obs: i did format it as exFAT in windows 10 in another machine

FIPS mode for libNSS3 by default, since that lib isn't FIPS-certified.

I made a test with the standard 4.15.0-62-generic kernel. The result is
the same, and I add that the laptop takes 3-4 minutes to pass from the
login screen to a ready desktop.
I attach a dmesg text obtained with the older kernel.

I performed a fresh install of Ubuntu 18.04.3 ina Dell Laptop Vostro 1400 with
an intel core 2 duo 9500T cpu.
Both during the boot from the USB installation key and during every subsequent
boot after installation, the boot is very slow despite the SSD (with Linux mint

Installed the xenial version on my bionic and I confirm the same issue
here.
When I start the cairo-clock form a terminal it startup correct. But
from launcher or startup script it has the bug.

I'm getting that same error, but without even having the copy & paste
aspect. I simply select "T" (text box) and click in the active region.
I'm on Xubuntu 19.04, running glabels 3.4.1. Not sure if I should attach
to this bug report or create a new one.

Searching, I found the following solution:
Edit the file menulibre util.py:
sudo nano /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/menulibre/util.py
Search for:
return GLib.markup_escape_text(text, len(text))
Replace with:
return GLib.markup_escape_text(text)
This has worked for me.

Suspend fails in Kubuntu 18.04 but works
Same problem here. I'm using Ubuntu 18.10 LiveCD and from time to time
my Ubuntu just freezes and when it happens my pendrive LED blinks like
crazy. It's hard to recover from it, but yesterday I did. The log it at

ASUS X55V, 4Gb RAM, used Xubuntu before, trying to reinstall because HD
failure, I asked the guy that repaired my PC to install Xubuntu but he
installed Ubuntu instead.

What I did was a fresh install of the Ubuntu because I needed the laptop
urgently. Everything went back to normal.
