No Joseph, it has always happened on the laptop since I installed Ubuntu
and did a few updates. I tried various things after seeing a similar bug

How do I do this as there is no Remove button on the Add-on tab in TB
for 'Messaging Menu and Unity Launcher Integration v0.8', only a
Disable. I also have the 'Global Menu Bar Integration v2.0.1'
installed, but
My Messaging menu does not contain Thunderbird at all, just a "Mail"
item and when I get new mail, it does not reflect that. Also on the
launcher icon for Thunderbird there is no unread count showing over the
icon. I am rather disappointed with this situation and is there
anything I can do to fix
I will try those things but really this problem started after I
installed the update to Ubuntu 11.10. I did nothing to the system to
cause this problem. Anyway thanks for the effort on this.

If you boot the machine with the ipod plugged in, it mounts and works
fine, but not when you plug it in any time afterwards. I am using Natty

I had this problem on Unity desktop, but since then I have re-installed
Ubuntu Natty from a setup disk. Before I had a weather indicator which
showed an icon on the notification area. If I then started Skype I got the
problem of a 1 pixel icon. However now I have no other indicators installed

Same version as mine, and I don't see any new version in the repos. My
workaround is to run Skype manually after login and it *usually* works
OK after that. I wish someone would fix this.

It is still happening if started on login using the Startup Applications
Preferences and entering "skype" as the command. I can't believe no one
else has seen this or is affected.

I solved the problem by uninstalling skype and then reinstalling from
the repos through Software Centre. I did notice that the problem came
back today after I installed a "partial upgrade" using Update Manager.

rendered as 1 lone pixel on the top right. If you restart Skype by
right click on the pixel and Quit, restart, it sorts the problem out. I

I have discovered my problem with this. It was our friend Banshee that
was paused on a song when I played VLC. If you close down Banshee and
replay the video, problem solved - the playback was flawless. I have

the various keycode dialogs and obviously Gwibber uses one of these to
