I can confirm that the new deb (link in Highvolt's post) fixes the free
space bug.
However, it introduced a new bug. Folders with periods in their names
aren't showing up properly. Of course, the simple workaround is to not
name folders that way, but this is a regression as the previous version

I just installed the 2.1-1 deb to fix another bug (298628) and noticed a
regression. Folders with periods in their names are not handled
correctly.
I'm running ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid. If I browse to one of my folders under
sftp:// with nautilus, I see the following folder
Scratch that other bug report. I was looking at the wrong folders. sshfs
is handling folders with periods in them correctly.

I was comparing two *different* folders that had nearly identical
directory structures. The naming differences just happened to follow
that pattern which made me think it was a bug.
I double-checked and sshfs handles folders with periods correctly.

I also have this issue. I mounted my laptop's home folder to my desktop
machine over sftp. My laptop's home folder does have a pictures folder
so it triggered the picture CD logic. I understand that it's not clear
what the best way to detect picture CDs is. So how about allowing users
to close the
reasonable (if you ignore the
wrong resolutions when both monitors are active).
Sorry if that was a somewhat long-winded answer to your question, but I hope
this information is useful.

One more thing.
I would also like ubuntu to re-enable the laptop's internal monitor at
it's native resolution when I disconnect the external monitor. Or
perhaps this can be tied to the CRD/LCD key.
That was how it worked back in 8.04 and I liked it.

Sadly, the patch did not fix my problem so I did some more digging on my
own. Mike Wimmer suggested that my system is missing software. I dug
around in the /tmp directory and it looks like everything works
correctly up to the part where pstoedit generates the svg. After toying
around with pstoedit
I've been using the Hardy beta for a few weeks now and I haven't noticed
any problems with the wireless connection. The random disconnecting
seems to have stopped.

Not being able to use latex in inkscape is definitely a show-stopper for
me. I used to use the textext extension, but sadly it seems to be broken
in Ubuntu Harty (inkscape v0.46). So I was happy to learn inkscape
included a new built-in option for rendering latex. Except that doesn't
work either!
Thanks for that script, Franck. I got it to work on my system. It's nice
because I can reconnect the wireless without rebooting which means I can
keep all of my apps open. It's a nice workaround, but I still like to
see a fix for this.

I'm runing Ubuntu Gutsy and I have problems with my wireless connection.
The connection just drops seemingly randomly and I am unable to
reconnect to any network. I have to reboot the machine to reconnect to a
wireless network. I'm not sure how to reproduce this problem

screens on and off, but it doesn't seem to be working. I
don't dual boot another OS so I can't test to see if the problem is
hardware or software-based.
