I just found out that an ashx file is an ASP.NET Web Handler File, so
the extension is an error from the website I downloaded it from, not an
actual document format. Still, Evince should be able to open it
regardless of filename extension.

I'm not sure it's a duplicate of #444962 - Nautilus doesn't render all
files as text files (or any non-text files as text files for that
matter) and neither removing ~/.local/share/mime, running update-mime-

I'm afraid I can't since I'm currently running Ubuntu with an ATI card
(which has distortion on all offscreen surfaces, but that's a different
bug).

It's pretty well described in the bug description - I get the exact same
error.
For some reason though, I couldn't reproduce the bug today, though I
haven't updated anything.

I can confirm that this happens in the latest Gutsy as well.
It works at first, but after a day or two (after a clean install) the
distortion returns.

doesn't work.

I think the new startup sound is nice, in composition, but I dislike the
actual samples used, as they sound like they are taken directly from the
Korg X5D synthesizer, which makes it sound rather homemade.
Is it possible to remake the sound with different samples? Maybe this
would fix this bug as
