Nvidia 295.20 seems to work a lot better than 295.40. Xubuntu 12.04 AMD 32-bit GEForce 6150SE
If you go to Settings Manager -> Screensaver and choose Blocktube, you see it moves quickly and smoothly in 295.20. In 295.40 it is jumpy and changes about once per second.
