2200 DN). I too had the little stripes above characters, but the fix

I don't know how to link the bug to an upstream one, but
bugzilla.gnome.org had a bug on this already (bug 514050,
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=514050). To quote the words of

I just want to quickly chime in. I too am bugged by this behaviour. Just
open a movie, and then manually load a subtitle (any will do). The movie
will start from the beginning, with subtitle this time. But I agree with
the OP that the movie should just continue where it was before.

This happened during the first run of checkbox/suspend resume testing.
The computer did not wake up again, so a hard power down was needed.
