I have the same error, I can use the camera for some time and then
receive this error. I'm using Logitech C525, uvcvideo driver and a
vanillia 3.7.1 kernel.

Empathy crashes on my box as well. Every time. I'm attaching a bug
trace. I've never used empathy on this bux (have no configuration for
it). It just segfaults without displaying any window. The system was
upgraded frtom 9.04 to 9.10 rc.
