Several days of use 16.04. the problem emerged.
After seep/unsleep laptop touchpad not working.
All good after reboot or power on.
I returned to the use of the above workoaround.

This problem was on my laptop from version
Fix append kernel to params i8042.notimeout i8042.nomux
