My X193W monitor on NVIDIA 8500GT was detected to be at 60Hz which is wrong.
This causes flickering and weird lines going down the screen.
Setting the rate to 75Hz fixed this in KDE's System Settings helps, but on
bootup it saves it wrongly, and it goes back to 60Hz until I

It does it much more in Karmic - even when I haven't even modprobe'd the
driver in! It could be resonance from the Internet USB card or hard disk
