The interfaces man page does mention the (apparently older) "wireless"
man page.
/usr/share/doc/wpasupplicant/README.Debian.gz should be a man page
mentioned in "man interfaces".

I had a bad time trying to configure wifi on Ubuntu Server 14.04 without
graphics installed.
'man interfaces' which appears to be from 2004 doesn't mention wifi and
Google returns mostly outdated information on the subject. Apparently

While attempting to compile pypy I noticed zlib.h doesn't compile on x64
when it's included by itself. If stdarg.h is included before including
zlib.h then the problem goes away.
Instead, the #idfef that guards the offending declaration in zlib.h

This problem has been part of my Linux printing experience since the
first time I got a Linux-compatible printer years ago. Wedding
invitations? Nope. Birthday party? No. Envelopes? Forget about it! Every

I had to add this line to /etc/udev.d/rules.d/45-libgphoto2.rules to
automatically give permissions for my camera:
SYSFS{idVendor}=="04cb", SYSFS{idProduct}=="01c0", MODE="0660",

Instead of adding this manually, it would be really cool if something

I still have the problem, mostly.
The multimedia keys work fine but I cannot use the number pad (remember,
this keyboard has no numlock key, it is always supposed to be a number
pad), there is an = key on the numpad that I cannot use, and there is a
. on the number pad that X11 thinks is 'delete'
I had the same problem. I am using Edgy Eft.
I got really annoyed because my disk was constantly filling up with
these log messages, and having hald use 50% of my CPU all the time isn't
too cool either. I don't think I was even able to log into KDE with a
full disk. It's a good thing I'm a degree-
