Public bug reported: Binary package hint: debian-installer
Trying to install Kubuntu 10.04 beta fails on my machine at the "installing software and packages" (I think that's what it is called...) step. I couldn't find any debug info; just a big red "failed" screen with the option to try again (trying again didn't help). I also tried pulling the packages in from a mirror, but it fails in the same manner. My hardware configuration is as follows: * Intel BOXDP55WB motherboard * Core i5 750 processor * 4 gb ram * Radeon 5450 graphics * Western Digital Caviar 1TB HD Note that I was running the installer from a usb drive created by the USB Startup Disk Creator packaged with Ubuntu 9.10 ** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Kubuntu 10.04 beta alternate install fails at software install step https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/555741 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
