Binary package hint: update-notifier
update-notifier is crashing frequently.
ProblemType: Crash
Date: Tue Feb 27 16:39:01 2007
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 7.04
ExecutablePath: /usr/lib/update-notifier/apt-check
InterpreterPath: /usr/bin/python2.5
Package: update-notifier 0.53
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: linux-generic
After installation with the alternative amd64 herd4 cdrom, the default
kernel will attempt to load but then the monitor just turns off and the
keyboard's lights flash. I can get into the system by loading the
recovery console, and typing
ati radeon x800gt
albatron k8nf4x-754
That's the only hardware that I can think of that could be causing this.
If you need more information please ask.

I would add me grub menu list but I've changed it since then. I
compiled my own kernel and I was still getting the same error so I
removed the quiet option from menu.lst and now it's working fine.
