The previous message describes my situation exactly. We are trying to
launch a 100+ seat ltsp upgrade, We have tried every suggested solution
for this problem with no positive result. This bug was opened nearly 1
year ago and no successful solution has been found. A complete show
stopper for us.

I'm not sure what the model TM8471 is, but BIOS 1.32 really borked Ubuntu
for my Timeline 4810TZ. Might want to be careful even with the 1.34 BIOS.
Also, I've never had a problem with suspend. Is this an isolated issue to a
certain model? Hibernate is slower than dirt, but suspend has always be
Whoa... I never said the hardware is unavailable. The issue still
remains for several users. Is it regular practice to close bugs
because one person gave up?

When you ran the BIOS update, the program should have saved your old BIOS
for you to reinstall if need be. I am guessing you are in the same boat as
me and deleted that image or no longer have it.
My ultimate solution to fixing all of the bugs in this laptop was to just

Fn+up my brightness would go up AND my volume would go down at the same
time.
Hope to see this official soon! Thanks for the hard work everyone!
