I'm starting to notice this on Debian SID with arora but interestingly
enough, not Firefox. The pseudo-workaround to click on the flash, drag
the mouse off, and then click back on the flash again works most of the
time.

I have this problem too on 32-bit on two different systems both upgrades
from Jaunty. The problem exists in both Arora and Firefox.

I'm having the same problem posted by Pitabred; I see the exact same
output. I'm on a System76 first gen Serval with the Elantech Touchpad.
I have tried some of the proposed configurations above and nothing has
made my touch pad work. I did an upgrade from Intrepid to Jaunty. The
touchpad worked

I can verify that this problem exists for nvidia cards and intrepid. I
enabled compositing on two seperate systems with nvidia cards and after
hitthing the apply button in some cases I was presented with a black
screen and mouse cursor. On the second system, I don't recall enabling

I'm using Intrepid Beta upgraded from Hardy which was upgraded from
Gutsy. The nvidia kernel I am using is nvidia-glx-173-source for a
GeForce FX 5200 (NV34). Version of Xfce4 is 4.4.2.1.
When I run the nvidia-settings tool and choose to configur
