Public bug reported:
For more information see the bug at
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=510791 by Bryan Murawski. He
also provided a patch (which is working at least for me), but the patch
isn't yet applied to the code. Would it be possible to apply it to the
Ubuntu release?
**
Hmm, starting today it is working again; so probably some update fixed
it (?).
Thanks for the help and the bug can be closed...

I just tested it with the Gutsy final live CD, and it seems to be fixed,
finally :). Thumbs up! This bug could be closed then.

Could be, but in my situation it was the other way around, with one of
the Guty pre-releases. I'm a bit busy to test the outputs of xrandr with
the Gutsy final live cd, but as soon as I have some time to do that, I
will help.

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MainInclusionReportBluezPcmciaSupport, I did put
it there. Since my knowledge is limited, I entered the questions as far
as I could. Let's see what is going to happen (some help is welcome I
suppose ;)). Thanks for the support!

No, setserial is not installed.
I attached files, with information. With the pccardctl command I can see
there is a bluetooth PCMCIA card, but hcitool dev lists no devices.

I did that, and unfortunately, it didn't solve the problem. I'll try to
install all bluetooth-related packets, maybe that will help.

Bugs,
The problem is solved! Installing bluez-pcmcia did the trick. Maybe you
could arrange that that package is included by default, it would solve a
lot of problems for all Bluetooth PCMCIA users, since there is no
information available on how to solve the problem. Maybe even for Gutsy?

The last time I reinstalled Feisty, it still was a problem: the device
was recognized as a serial port, but that was settled after changing
some files (which, blame myself, I can't remember). In the coming days I
will install Gutsy and check if the problem persists, and report on that
here. Is
Output of dmesg on Gutsy:

Public bug reported:
My computer (Acer Travelmate 6000) has an integrated Intel i855GM
graphic accelerator. I installed the latest Tribe of Gutsy, and for the
first time in a version after a fresh install the installer recognized
that the preferred screen resolution is 1400x1050. But,
Bug is solved with today's updates. Can be closed.
