I don't know if I will be able to reproduce the bug again. It happened
suddenly while using some lightweight software (specifically Anki
http://ankisrs.net/). As described above I could only move the cursor
with the physical usb mouse,

Experienced a system freeze. It was not possible to use the keyboard or

attached, but clicking had no effect. The strange thing is that at the
time of the freeze /var/log/syslog and /var/log/kern.log
It has been a while I am not experiencing the bug anymore. It still usually
takes quite a while for the cursor to switch from the roundel to the normal
arrow.
I will comment again in case I see the bug again.

Whenever a wireless connection is lost and the same network becomes
available again, the connection is not restored. Even selecting the
network again from the drop down menu does not work, it just tries to
connect forever. The only way out is to disable and re-enable wifi,
