Do the 180.44 drivers (released today March 30th) fix this issue?
Anybody able to try them out?

I have also just seen this happen on my system using Jaunty Alpha 4 Live
CD. I tried to resize an NTFS system (Windows 7 beta) and it just sat
there for 10 minutes or so. Finally a message came up saying it could
not write the changes to the disk. I rebooted the Live CD and attempted
it again
Okay, booted back into Windows (chkdsk /f ran, rebooted after check and
logged in). I restarted and booted again from Live CD and tried to
install Jaunty again. Here's the output:
