I'm experiencing the same problem on a fresh install of Ubuntu Mate 20.04 on a Dell XPS 13 9350. Sound works correctly using the internal speakers. If you plug in analog headphones to the 3.5mm jack, there is no sound from the headphones or the internal speakers. All relevant options are unmuted
