This was a HP DV7 with a Windows 7 drive and another new solid state drive for
the Linux partition.
I plan to swap the drives and try again if I can't get the boot loader to
install. This laptop
had Windows 7 and Ubuntu 18.04.3 on it until one of the drives failed.

I commented out:

Then added:

Then closed the file and did:
sudo alsa force-reload
It came up running.
