My partners "HP Pavillon g6" started showing this issue upgrading from
19.04 -> 19.10.
Following the steps documented in 29/31 I ended up with:
evdev:name:SynPS/2 Synaptics
TouchPad:dmi:bvnInsyde:bvrF.22:bd11/22/2012:svnHewlett-Packard:pnHPPaviliong6NotebookPC:pvr087A11385B1620100:rvnHew
I haven't tried the Ubuntu disk, the bug is about the Kubuntu disk and I
have very limited bandwidth so I'm not going out of my way to verify
each and every disk available.

How? 1510730 is about a crash when doing a useless edit that happens to
be a crypto partition, this bug is about

I verified the sha256sum of the kubuntu-15.10-desktop-amd64.iso, it's

Selecting "Manual" under disk setup if I add a "/boot" and then create
the next partition as "physical volume for encryption" I'm then given no
way to use that volume (i.e formatting and setting up the passphrase so
I can put LVM or FS on it). See crypto-no-usable-options.png.

Similarly to Bug #1012284 "Samsung Laptop support module refuse to load

This seems to still break in Quantal (12.10) when upgrading from 12.04.
I was getting the "cryptsetup: WARNING: invalid line in /etc/crypttab -

machine was completely unbootable).
After following advice from

I'm still seeing this bug in 0.8.0~rc1-4ubuntu39.12.10.1 on top of btrfs
... are you sure it's fixed?

I have an interaction problem between upowerd and Optimus Hybrid

I think potentially this should be split in to a few bugs (i.e. the

Actually I just realised that the tar of those tables was useless as all
the files tar as 0 bytes :S sorry.

Hi, You're right it is definitely wired up to the nvidia GPU.

Hi, Thanks for following up.
I have tried with bumblebee both installed and removed, bumblebee allows
optirun to let a single process befit from the Nvidia chipset, the intel
chipset still needs to drive the HDMI port (which is where the current
issue is).
Cheers,

I'm surprised this is marked as low priority given the only fix that

Once the modifier keys are stuck down it's difficult to do anything on
