I agree with the OP, I myself wanted t report about this missing
feature.
The main point is that with the current behavior of unity you do not
know "where you are", and you have to try changing workspace or do the
expo to understand it.

Empathy status combobox highlight is not consistent with the orange

I find the colors of the window list buttons to be difficult to read,
especially the selected buttons. I think this need some more contrast.
