Well, honestly I just gave up using internal optical units...when I need
it (very seldom) I just use my USB connected one, which works 100%.

I have the same on a Xubuntu 7.10 machine. I solved using gxine or xine-
ui, changing default soundcard to "plughw:0,0" inside the preferences
section. No chances for totem-xine, anyway, and starting it overrides my
changes as well... :(

yes, it can't find the file "/etc/X11/fluxbox/fluxbox-menu", so it doesn't
display anything while right clicking! :)
Try to run update-menus, the manually rename the crated file (don't remember
the name) to "~/.fluxbox/menu". It should work.

Sorry, I figure it out: the file "menu" was missing from my .fluxbox
directory. I just copied the generic one from /etc and now it works. If
anyone confirms it, I think this bug could be closed.

"OnDesktop Mouse3 :rootMenu" has always been there.

UPDATE: It seems a KDE related bug, since I tried my DVDs on Xubuntu
7.04 RC and they work fine.
I think it's a very important Kubuntu bug (especially for new users).
Anyway, luckily, the patch is there.
