Hi. I'm running Mint-19.0 Tara, based largely on Ubuntu debs. I can confirm the
bug. 1st time, it takes 3-4 seconds. It's a fresh install, duly updated &
upgraded. I tried running it from a terminal, and got this:

configured as the screensaver

Using Kubuntu 15.10 x64. No bluetooth hardware.
After the KDE login progress bar reaches 100%, it then takes 25 seconds before
beginning the transition to the KDE desktop.
uninstalling network-manager and plasma-nm and disabling bluetooth.service has
not reduced the 25 seconds delay.

I have found that gedit is similarly slow. Hence this is not a meld-
specific issue. Rather it must be a more generic OS bug. Hence marking

blackbox tests

subject to blackbox tests rather than unit tests) as, with my current

I'll look into reorganising the code when I get the chance (am new to

I'm running an updated Gutsy (3 September 2007). I tried a hibernate, to see if
it would work properly. It didn't. In addition the keyboard no longer responded
properly on reboot. I needed the n key to login, so I had to login in
