I decided to devote a day last weekend to updating to Feisty on my work
PC, so I did in fact get a chance to test this. It's fine in a vanilla
install of 7.04, Quanta does in fact install all required dependencies
for basic operation.

machine is my primary work PC, and as such I have not upgraded from
6.06LTS.

With a fully updated system as of 5/10/2006 this problem still exists.
Tried it this morning and it only makes it to about 60 directories and
350 files before it locks up.

- just tried Blender, it showed up in the menu straight away
- touch doesn't show the entry

When installing software through the Add/Remove menu, the applications
menu doesn't get refreshed after the item is added to it, so it doesn't
show up. Running Alacarte reveals that it has been added to the menu
correctly, but the main menu doesn't reflect this until the next

Binary package hint: quanta
When Quanta is installed under Ubuntu Dapper Drake 6.06 LTS (default
Gnome desktop) the file picker appears incomplete, specifically the
graphical picker area is not there. Installing Konqueror fixes the
problem.
