It appears snapd has proposed the fix for this and it will be a matter
of time until this becomes available to pull. In light of the issue
originating from snapd and not the lxd-installer package itself I agree
that it is best to not introduce any change in this package.

I reproduced the problem by starting into the kernel version 6.8.0-45.
It happened at Sept, 11th approximately 23:30.
So, I collected the logs (after having restarted in 6.5.0-45) from with that
time stamp using the following command (just the auth* logs are skipped):

Don't bother reporting upstream. VLC is not responsible for restoring
volume, PulseAudio (or WirePlumber) is. And if it does not work, then

Yes, it is 22.04. Everything was perfect before the update. But I took
no chances and did a system back-up using Aptik. Did the update, Digikam

What I did was I changed
`COMPRESS=lz4` to `COMPRESS=gzip` in `/etc/initramfs-tools/initramfs.conf`, then
`sudo update-initramfs -u`
After, without a reboot I've changed `COMPRESS` back to `lz4`, and then
`sudo
