Default examples of applications which can be built with the Netbeans
Platform are the Feed Reader application and the Paint Application.
The Paint Application example (paintapp) can be distributed as a Zip
file using the Build Zip Distribution
Problem was solved with the new openjdk-6 dependencies. I removed all
other JVMs (sun-java6-*, icedtea-java7-*), apt-get clean, and apt-get
install netbeans. The new install included the openjdk-6-jdk packages,
and i could use it without problems.

The default selection will install IcedTea (java7) as the default JVM.
