I have same bug(message) when boot laptop - they are blinking after several
seconds(~2sec) and dont show login screen. After hard poweroff - and than
poweron i dont see any problem.

On 2.6.36-020636rc8-generic and vmlinuz-2.6.35-02063507-generic i not
see any error messages. Before install this kernels on poweroff not
showed plymouth animation, after install this kernel i see this
animation.
On 2.6.36rc8 - normal started and shutdown, with .35 often showed errors
on start(in

Now can run only with failsafe configuration.
With standard configuration i hear sound from gdm, but showed console.
I create new xorg.cong by coping xorg failsafe file. and login by
startx.
