I know that this has been marked as a duplicate to bug#2037015, but I
see nothing in the comments of that bug that talks about the
availability of a raspberry pi installation source. I have tried the
Public bug reported:

This certainly effected my use of kubuntu-desktop. As far as I know,
kubuntu requires X11 so I can't believe that it can be ignored.

To manage
Okay, I started with fresh desktop install. It hung one time before I
was able to update the kernel. So far it's running as it should.

BTW: I should say that I am using the plasma desktop, but this is is
failing before anything is running. The network is up and will respond
to ping, but won't accept a connection.

Either I did something wrong, or it doesn't work for me. I followed these steps:
$ sudo apt-add-repository -p proposed
$ sudo apt install linux-raspi
