I am unable to interact with the notifications normally (other than blurring on
mouseover) - I believe this may be due to not having notification-daemon
installed.
I've just tested it, nad once the screensaver is activated I cannot move the
mouse outside of the enter password box. The messages
I can reproduce it using this script borrowed and adapted from bug
#534522.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Set screensaver to come on after 1min and lock when on.
2. ssh into machine
3. run:
$ export DISPLAY=:0
$ python osd_test.py
4. observe how notification appears on top of the screensaver.

etc. appear over the top of the screensaver. This is possibly the same

2.28.2 only crashed on maybe 25% of the new appointment attempts. Now
2.28.3 crashes every time and is not usable.

Webcamstudio and xawtv. I also recently plugged in a couple of
different USB webcams: Logitech and Kensinton.
Perhaps the USB webcams triggered a problem, because I was using

Argh. I was poking around and found that the EnableWatching parameter
was set to false. I've never edited tracker.cfg, so is there some way
that this gets set from the UI?

With the changes to power management prefs (going to drop-down boxes), I
have not noticed any problems. Of course, I also re-enabled the
screensaver... I'd say to close this bug and let someone open a new one
if they experience an issue.
