[Bug 1550773] Re: Inverted Colors setting not remembered

2016-03-20 Thread Derick Eddington
I've reported this at https://github.com/mate-desktop/atril/issues/191 (I tried to add this upstream bug to this LP bug via "Also affects project" but it doesn't support GitHub apparently.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to

[Bug 1550765] Re: Headset doesn't work for HP EliteBook 755 G2

2016-03-19 Thread Derick Eddington
I've now tested the kernel fix with my hardware and confirmed it works. I compiled Xenial's 4.4.0-14-generic kernel after applying the patch, by following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/BuildYourOwnKernel . With the patched kernel, my headset's headphones and microphone work and the background

I have not. If compiling Xenial's kernel isn't difficult, I can apply the patch and test. I'll read about how to do this. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1550765 Title: Headset

[Bug 1470862] Re: When using fglrx module, the virtual consoles are blank and useless

2016-02-29 Thread Derick Eddington
With Xenial, when I boot with kernel command-line parameter systemd.unit =multi-user.target (i.e. non-graphical "runlevel", don't start X11), then the virtual consoles do work. But then when I do "sudo systemctl isolate graphical.target" to start X11, then the virtual consoles don't work.

Hi, This problem is still present in Xenial Xerus daily-build (I'm using the MATE flavor). I found that by changing, via update-alternatives, the x86_64-linux- gnu_gl_conf and i386-linux-gnu_gl_conf link-groups back to the Mesa choices, with the fglrx (or fglrx-updates) package still installed,
