I can confirm. I am running Lubuntu 13.10, and I get the same error

This sounds very similar to the issue I am having. My issue is not new
though to Ubuntu 11.04...This issue has existing in 10.04-10.10..I move
away from Ubuntu because it is a show stopper..I tried another distro
(openS 11.3), which worked flawlessly. The only thing I can say is that
in version 11.
