I confirm the problem on my PC with 4k screen:
Ubuntu 20.04

The workaround is to lower the resolution to FullHD: 1920x1080 and Scale

The only solution I found to that speed drop was to reconnect to Wi-Fi

Is anyone else seeing the issue where the touchscreen/pen don't work

For me wireless is working again on 12.10, but I noticed the speed was only
about 12MB/s compared to 54MB/s on Windows 7. So i tried iwlagn 11n_disable=1
and it solved the problem, now I have the same speeds as on Windows 7.
What are the disadvantages of iwlagn 11n_disable=1?

Another thing I noticed (beside the too high cpu in idle and doing simple tasks
by Xorg and compiz) is that cpu usage gets up to 10 times higher when only
moving the mouse cursor (in idle). This is for sure not normal, if i compare it
to other systems.
