OK, the patch now also ended up in 3.12.4 (and later). 3.11 is EOL (with
3.11.10) so it won't end up there. (It also is in 3.13-rc3 and later as

I worked on a bisect, but the problem is that within that range, a lot
of revisions can not be compiled because of another bug that affects
compilation for i386.

After updating my system from raring to saucy it was crashing during
boot. After some digging I realised that it is connected to the network
interfaces. After removing the auto line for the two network interfaces
in /etc/network/interfaces the system boots successfully.

I am having the same problem. One interesting observation I made that
might help in debugging is: The problem only appears the first time you
switch to full screen.
(1) Play a file in vlc
(2) Double click on the film playing (switches to full screen)
(3) Move the mouse => the vlc on-screen control

Upstream has a lot of these C++ parsing bugs (some of them triggered by
other parts of boost). Most of them seem to be resolved. Unfortunately
without giving specific commit revisions.
I therefore tried to use the newest version from svn but this leads to
dependency problems (new cmake version, ..
I do not see the massive memory usage reported in Bug #459655 . I
therefore doubt these bugs are duplicates.

Kdevelop crashes while parsing C++ files in the background.
I was able to bisect a large codebase down to one file and then one
include statement that causes the crash. But most likely there are other
code situations that trigger this crash. The
