Does this bug seem to be vanished with Natty? Haven't noticed anything
of that since upgrading to 11.04 in April.

Title:
Mouse clicks
Still experiencing this problem after upgrading to Kubuntu 10.04 Lucid
Lynx LTS.
dmesg shows the same messages when it happens:
[17441.032652] psmouse.c: GlidePoint at isa0060/serio4/input0 lost sync at byte
6
[17441.033811] psmouse.c: GlidePoint at isa0060/serio4/input0 lost sync at byte

This problem is actual for me for a long time.
The workaround I'm using (every single day) is executing:
sudo modprobe -r psmouse sudo modprobe psmouse
in my terminal. Sometimes, I have to repeat these commands for a few
times in a row...

Updated to Kubuntu Karmic. Still getting this problem. That's what I can
see in /var/log/messages at such moments (just like it was before):

As I have learned, the GlidePoint lost sync messages are really
connected with this problem. They appear in my dmesg every single time
this bug occured.

Bryce,
I've updated to the nvidia-graphics-drivers-180 185.18.14 from xorg-
edgers PPA but nothing seems to be changed. I've seen black artifacting
just after ~15 minutes of working this new version (in Pidgin, then in
Firefox). I'm still on Jaunty amd64 with all current updates and have no

Confirming this bug for Jaunty, Xorg 1.6.0, nvidia drivers 180.44, Xfce
4.6.0. However, I was getting it on GNOME since Ubuntu 8.04 (with
previous versions of Xorg and nvidia drivers).
Also, I've just noticed
Same problem on my 64-bit Sony Vaio laptop (GeForce Go 7600) and 64-bit
Jaunty with all updates. Linux kernel is 2.6.28-11-generic, nvidia
drivers are 180.44, no compiz in use.
Intrepid worked just fine.
