Hi. This is the intended behavior of logprof/genprof (perhaps as you suggest there could be better intended behavior :) The way its used is that genprof marks the log with a random string to denote the log section it should be looking at when you Scan For Events while generating a new profile.

Logprof should not be marking the messages file. genprof does when you start a profile development run - for this you should see something like GenProf: 16ab5bf0d80d869e30edcbd2be0f9844. So then running logprof -m 16ab5bf0d80d869e30edcbd2be0f9844 Would only look at messages after that mark.

I tested this log event and logprof and genprof will correctly prompt the user to add this privilege in the profile. -- network ACLs are not documented in manpages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/172534 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug

What version of apparmor are you using? I'm assuming that this rejection is from the parser (is displayed when you run /etc/init.d/apparmor reload?). -- Px and Ux do not work with globs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139105 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu
