BTW, this is NOT just Evolution that has this problem. Other windows
also have this issue as well. Despite being intended for netbooks, Unity
pays little attention to the wide variety of screen sizes, in particular
short screens.

1024 x 768 isn't enough. A lot of netbooks and tablets are 1024 x 600.
The point is, do NOT design it to work only above a minimum size. It
should automatically add scrollbars (or be resizable from any corner)
when it's below a certain size so you can still view all content and
buttons.

I am getting this with Firefox 4, openSUSE 11.3. It attempts to use
EasyTag and none of the changes I make in about:config help, nor did
changing "inode/directory" and "x-directory/normal" in mimeinfo.cache or

the size to XXX height, but to have the program query for the screen
size and then choose a height based on that. My screen (a netbook) is

account settings in Evolution), the windows are too tall. The buttons at

I'm getting this same issue. has anyone solved this?
Here's all the info I can think of:
1. I have two HD's, both set as cable select
2. I have a DVD/CD reader/writer drive
3. My drives are PATA
4. I'm getting slightly different error messages with reg. startup vs
fail safe mode (I get the err
