try, here is how to install it:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:synapse-core/ppa

happened when I disconnect the connection (Wi-Fi or USB modem). When the
laptop wake up, the connection is not automatically restored when I use
usb modem. In both case, gnome-do need to be killed and run again to

One question for those who have Maverick installed in laptop with
3945ABG wifi chip, if you boot the laptop using lucid kernel, is the
speed back to normal or stay the same? If the bug is in the kernel, then
I will not mind keeping the old kernel until the new kernel resolve this
bug.

I want to upgrade Lucid in my laptop into Maverick, but this bug stopped
me, since I need internet connection via Wi-fi in the laptop. Please fix
this bug asap so the unfortunate laptop owner with 3945ABG wireless chip
can use Maverick Meerkat.

Your solution worked in my laptop. It seems that ~/.local/share/gvfs-
metadata/ folder contain metadata from network that I have connected
with. The problems is, I only connected to those network once.
Nautilus/gvfsd seems to crawl any network (specially samba network) when
I'm connect

After I upgrade my Karmic to Lucid using apt-get dist-upgrade, I got an
