I could actually automate this process very easily by blacklisting the snd_hda_intel module in /etc/hibernate/blacklisted-modules or if you are using acpi add the snd_hda_intel to the MODULES line in /etc/default/acpi-support -- sound does not resume with 2.6.22-10-generic
