I can confirm this behaviour on a Samsung NC10.
Deleting ~/.config/gnome-session/saved-session has an effect, the same
flashing background occurs but the Ubuntu log in sound plays before
entering the cycle.
Running mutter --replace, all is well but if I then run unity, or
issue Running mutter
I'm changing this to invalid as it isn't a bug in the documentation.

With respect, this is splitting hairs. Bash is GNU but the way it is
accessed mightn't be a GNU program at all. I don't think its necessary
to explain the kernel at all in the basic commands section - perhaps a
reference in the introduction section (which I _think_ there already
is), illustrating

This might be simple enough for you but it is not clear to me and as
you haven't supplied a patch I need to understand what you are reporting
before I patch it, otherwise there will be more bug reports.
Which terms do you want used in each example?

Confusing on the kernel Linux and whole
The word has come to mean the entire operating system and associated
packages in much the same way as Hoover has come to mean vacuum
cleaner or Coke has come to mean cola.
The use of the term Ubuntu in this context is inappropriate as it
conveys that Linux is Ubuntu, which is no more correct than
OK, removed them from MVP too.

Hi - I've checked the link, which works in the current trunk. Sun lists
the package as NetBeans, I'm not sure I follow why it needs to be
referred to as netbeans?

I understand but the link now uses apt-url rather than the user typing
in a command, so the program name would seem more appropriate in this
instance. The user needn't look in Synaptic in this instance.

Patched the Gnome entities to reflect change in menu structure - now has
logout; and shutdown; in reference to the two new menu entries.

This has now been completed, as far as bugs go. It would have been nice
to have incorporated more information on DSL, Modems and Broadband Wifi
but I haven't any of these to test with.
