I installed Feisty from a USB stick using the 2007-03-20 netboot image
and the server target over a serial console on ttyS1.
The install went fine, but after rebooting, getty was not running on

This bug can probably be removed as I believe I erroneously attributed
it to Konqueror when it was a server side problem instead.
I switched the server to Debian etch around the same time that I
switched the client to feisty, after that change was made it seems that
nfs mounts are defaulting to
I am also getting bogus file size information from Konqueror when
viewing files in the detail list view mode. For example I have a tgz
file that correctly shows as 13.9GB over samba, that same file appears
as 1.9GB via the nfs share.

can't find debug pkgs for xine-lib and debug pkg for totem-xine in
ubuntu is incompatible with currently installed totem-xine pkg. can you
direct me to a debug pkg for version 2.16.2-0ubuntu3? this is what I
could get for the video.
installed debug pkg for libxine but dbgsym pkg version is incompatible
with installed version of libxine. I ran apport-retrace after

It appears that Banshee crashes when it attempts to contact last.fm
using AudioScrobbler. Banshee 0.11.1. It'll get halfway through the
first track played and close with a fatal error with the AudioScrobbler
plugin enabled but with it disabled it seems to run fine.

There appears to be a new problem with this notebook under Edgy.
My previous experience had been that the text based Dapper installer
still had problems but the graphical installer worked fine. With the
release of the Edgy betas neither seem to work.

Ok, I've attached some more info. At this stage I'm thinking it is
kernel-related: firmware is not being loaded (from:
/lib/firmware/2.6.17-10-generic/isl3890) and the device not being
enabled, despite the same module version.
I also found some confirmation of 2.6.17+ issues here:

I have a Netgear WG511v1 wifi PC Card that worked with dapper but does
not work with edgy - the module (prism54) is not loaded, the device has
no entry in lspci (lspcmcia gives: 'CardBus card -- see lspci for more

refused to be mounted and I would receive the error mentioned above.
