This issue seems to persist in some form for package opencv - 2.4.5
+dfsg-0ubuntu3.
Running pkg-config --libs opencv does report -lopencv_ocl, as
expected. However that library doesn't seem to be present.
gcc builds that include the output of pkg-config --libs opencv will
report error

Binary package hint: aptdaemon
Both Synaptic Package Manager and Update Manager were open and had been
open for hours.
I clicked the Check button in Update Manager. aptdaemon crashed.
Update Manager didn't crash.
Since Update Manager didn't crash, I tried clicking it
